Welcome in Go Downtown!

"Travel is the only thing you buy, that makes you richer"
Hi theeeere! Finally, here we are. Dear friends, not-friends, wanderlusters or hopefuls, I’m happy to announce that this blog is taking shape. Creating and managing this blog is not as simple as I hoped, but I’m sure that it will improve day by day.
Why “Go Downtown”? Are we going to see just cities and buildings? No, absolutely no. I choose this name because I love the deeper meaning of this word. The word “Downtown” contains the desire to dig deeply,  to get into the heart and the soul of a city. But we are just going to get over with cities. We will travel on the road between provinces, nature and people and I am sure that you will agree with me about the famous quote:
“Travel is the only thing you buy, that makes you richer”
because this is how I see Go-dowtown. Furthermore, as you can see, here we speak english. Most of the time I spent abroad, I used english to communicate, so I’ll do it here too to not exclude anyone. I will not write in my mother tongue but as a good Italian I will speak also of this land, food, drinks, and books. There will be a section dedicated to my travels outside Italy, which is called “Destination Inspiration“. Then, you will find one dedicated to my homeland: “In Italy“, and being greedy the “Food & Drinks” section couldn’t miss . “Books” because there isn’t always time to travel, but we can do it even sitting and finally “Events around the world” to keep you update on what happens on the other side of the world! Want a little taste of what is waiting for you in the next three months? Here is my current 2014 wish list entirely pledge to Spain:
– In March, I will visit the north of Spain touching Madrid, Valladolid, Burgos and Bilbao. – In April will be the turn of Andalucía, touching Sevilla, Málaga, Granada and perhaps Córdoba too. – Then I will rent a car and move on, in May, on the beaches of Mallorca island! Do you have a travel wish list for 2014? Are any of these places on your dream destination list? If you have any travel recommendations, I’d love to hear them. Now, let’s start this new adventure, GO DOWNTOWN WITH ME!
